About Role

The candidate will be assigned duties and responsibilities within SPTel Integrated Operations Centre (IOC). He or she is responsible to perform surveillance of its network health and services and conduct technical troubleshooting, including taking the necessary actions to mitigate network issues and neutralize security incidents.

The candidate is required to support all incoming technical calls and handle customer trouble ticket creations, incident status update and ensure proper case closure.

Responsibilities
  • Perform 24×7 operations and surveillance support in the IOC environment.
  • Ensure and maintain health of the SPTEL network and services through proactive monitoring and taking necessary corrective actions when abnormally is detected.
  • Perform technical troubleshooting in accordance to troubleshooting procedures, and ensure all events are managed and followed up in accordance with the Service Operations Framework and respective SOPs.
  • Be customer-oriented and support all incoming events with timely response/updates of incident status to customers/internal stakeholders for all incidents.
  • Responsible to create and track trouble tickets to closure and ensuring that updates are captured accurately and complete with the relevant details.
  • Elevating incidents for next level technical support or field dispatch, when a case is not resolved within predetermined timeframe, and according to established processes and procedures.
  • Perform Escalation & Notification during Major Incidents and provide internal incident notification and hourly update to customer if the incident severity or service level has breached or is at risk of breaching.
  • To push for service recovery within service SLA for all incidents.
  • Prepare draft incident report after every incident and After-Action Review (AAR) report after every major incident
  • Notify customer on planned maintenance activities and keep customer posted on the maintenance status during actual maintenance day.
  • Be always contactable and perform Standby Duties on rostered days
  • Perform Daily, Weekly, Monthly Reports.

Develop and Maintain Framework & Processes

  • To develop the framework, process and SOP for network operation, service delivery and service assurance for all services offered to achieve better efficiency, effectiveness and economical value.
  • To define the process, policy and the guidelines for network operation that cover network facilities, fiber infrastructure planning and installation, service provisioning, service assurance, NOC and SOC.
  • To define the process and procedure for service provisioning and delivery in meeting the agreed service level agreement for existing and new products/services. Provisioning and delivery services include circuit design and planning, project management, data centers/MDF/in-building work execution, field engineering dispatches and hand-over of the services offered by company to customers.
  • To define the operations and maintenance (O&M) process and procedure for existing systems and products/services to achieve better respond time and shorter time for fault isolation, restoration and rectification.
  • To define the process and procedure for all network changes via the Network Change Request process minimizing disturbance to customers or cutting down unnecessary network changes, which could increase possibility of service interruption.
  • To keep track of the processes and SOP developed in a centralized knowledge database.

      Operational Performance Monitoring

      • To work with stakeholders to produce reports on service delivery and service assurance performance for management information and analysis as well as for reporting to any relevant parties including customers and governing authorities.
      • Conduct regular Operations Self Audit and maintain regular Operations Excellence Dashboard to report on compliance and KPI/SLA performance.
      • To assist in tracking Capital Expenditure (Capex) and Operating Expenditure (Opex) and running of cadence required by Heads of Operations.

                                                          Responsibilities
                                                          • Handling events such as identifying security issues, extensive troubleshooting, and coordinating resolution or restoration using a variety of applications and testing tools. The events can include hardware/software failures as well as security breaches, threats, or network connectivity issues.
                                                          • Professionally and courteously answer inbound security-related calls and provide customers with the best possible customer service and experience, create tickets, fill out necessary checklist paperwork, generate trouble tickets for all work and informational requests, handle security-related user complaints, and escalate according to establish procedures / runbooks / playbooks. Ensure operation SLA is met.
                                                          • Investigate security breaches and other cyber security incidents.
                                                          • Install security measures and operate software to protect systems and information infrastructure, including firewalls and data encryption programs.
                                                          • Document security breaches and assess the damage they cause.
                                                          • Work with stakeholders to perform tests and uncover network vulnerabilities.
                                                          • Fix detected vulnerabilities to maintain a high-security standard.

                                                          Requirements
                                                          • Experience managing network & security tools in an enterprise environment that include firewall, IPS/IPS, assessment, and scanning tools.
                                                          • Strong understanding of networking technologies (routers, switches, TCP/IP)
                                                          • Experience with different platform technologies (Windows, Linux, VMware, RHOSP)
                                                          • Experience with security technologies (IDS, IPS, FW, AV, Proxies, DLP, PKI, SSL/TLS, SSL visibility, VPN)
                                                          • Strong in Fortinet Firewall and Radware DDOS and Beyond Trust PAM.
                                                          • Strong knowledge in Security network. With at least 3-5 years’ experience in administration, planning, implementation or operation of Security Design
                                                          • Knowledge of IP (L2/L3) network. With at least 3-5 years’ experience in planning, implementation or operation of IP network
                                                          • Security certifications such as CISSP or equivalent will be preferred.
