A nationwide panic button project can be an answer to enabling our seniors to lead healthier lives. It’s a simple tool with a powerful purpose—supporting our seniors get help when they need it most, and giving families peace of mind, knowing support is just a press away.
About the Panic Button Project
To support seniors, especially those living in rental flats with peace of mind, the panic button project can provide help at the press of a button. Seniors aged 60 and above can have an Alert Device installed in their homes, allowing them to quickly call for help if they feel unwell, fall, or face any emergency.
When the button is pressed, a notification can be sent instantly to nearby care centres. Once these teams receive the senior’s case information through the Alert System, they can then respond promptly to ensure help arrives quickly.
This initiative will give our seniors greater peace of mind and help them continue living independently, knowing that support is always close by.
SPTel’s unique position as the nation’s first island-wide LoRaWAN sensor network powered by solar power was critical for our selection as the IoT infrastructure provider for this project to enable fast and wide reaching deployment to benefit more seniors in Singapore.
