Frequently Asked Questions
The Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG) was launched on April 2018 to help businesses enhance their processes with technology. It provides financial support for business owners to adopt pre-scoped IT solutions, equipment and consultancy services to improve productivity.
1. What can PSG grant be used for?
SMEs can apply for PSG if they meet the following criteria: Is a business entity registered and operating in Singapore; Have a minimum of 30% local shareholding; AND. Company's Group annual sales turnover should be not more than S$100 million, OR Company's Group employment size should be no more than 200 employees.
2. How do you qualify for PSG grant?
From 1 April 2023 onwards, the maximum support level will be up to 50% for all sectors.
3. How much is the PSG grant?
Pre-approved vendors are companies assessed by IMDA to be able to offer effective, market-tested and cost-effective solutions. To be pre-approved under the programme, you will be evaluated on capacity and capability as well as whether your solution meets the requirements of target sectors. SPTel is a pre-approved vendor for the PSG Grant for Telecommunication industry.
4. Who is the pre-approved vendor for PSG?
Companies can put in more than one PSG application depending on business needs. However, support can only be extended for one package per solution category per deployment location.
5. How many PSG grants can I apply?
The PSG is given for the purpose of acquiring equipment/solutions which are capital in nature, hence it will not be taxable.
6. Is PSG grant taxable?
Yes, you are eligible as long as you have fulfilled the 3 criteria above.
7. Can sole proprietor claim PSG?
You can submit claims for the Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG) in the Business Grants Portal.
